Architecture for the people inspired by the people.
3rd Year Project
The Co-Habitation Project is a regenerative project based in the re-developing area of St. Saviours Estate in Bermondsey, Southwark. The overall scheme aims to encourage grassroots movement and to bring in an overall urban transformation through spatial, political, economic and social sustainability.
Based on the brief, site requirements and possibilities, three proposals were presented. Site 1, a four story building including social and co-working spaces; Site 2, a community centre and roof-top urban agriculture for local use. Site 3, a recycled plastic brick production unit acting as a threshold space connecting sites 2 and 3.
